Content Management System

Do you want to keep your customers up to date with the latest news from within your organisation?

Traditional static websites can offer a great starting point to get your businesses online. However in order to maximise your online presence your site must add value for the visitor. If your content is up to date with news, opinions, promotions and any other changes then your clients are more inclined to revisit your website on a regular basis. They are also more likely to pass the website address on to others. Conversely if your website is out of date and short of information they are likely to leave and never return!

A CMS allows you take control of your website content.

But what is a CMS?
Very simply a CMS is a browser based system that allows you, as the administrator, to login to your website and make changes to the site. It allows you to take control of your site.

Can I change everything on my website?
Our CMS system is a bespoke product tailored to each individual customer. We can control how much or how little of the site you can manage. Some clients prefer to only have certain pages that they can edit (for example a promotions page or news section) while other want to be able to edit content on all the pages and also add new pages and sections as their business develops.

Is it easy to use?
Yes! The beauty of the ASM Development CMS is that it really does offer a 'What You See Is What You Get' (WYSIWYG) experience and anybody familiar with a word processing package such as Word will be familiar with all of the icons used. What makes the WYSIWYG on your CMS so great? In most CMS systems the text editor is on a blank page or within a frame within the admin area that bears no resemblance to the design of the site. To check how the new content looks you need to keep previewing the webpage. We can also divide the page up and make several sections of the page editable in different ways.

But it must still take some time to get used to the CMS?
Yes is the honest answer! But we can do a number of things to help you to take control of your website:
- Realistic training and support from the very start
- Help information is available within the CMS and also help/training documentation is provided
- We can build the website up at the outset so that you are managing the website content and not trying to build the entire website

Will the CMS work for my website?
Yes! The beauty of our CMS is that it is modular and bespoke. We recognise that every business is unique and has unique requirements - normally this will require a mix of custom and standard modules.

Can it be integrated into my existing website?
Integrating it into the design and layout is normally possible. Integrating it to use the existing code is dependent upon the structure of your website - we are happy to look at your website and advise accordingly.

Is the CMS search engine friendly?
Yes! The primary reason for developing our own CMS platform was that the majority of CMS systems on the market struggle to meet the requirements of search engine optimisation (SEO). Our system loads fast, is cross browser compatible, provides unique meta data and title elements at all levels, has search engine friendly URLs and much more. Can I try the CMS?
